EN | Robust, brutalist, solid, massive, imposing. Hawk's structure rises from a rigid central core that holds the observatory's vertical circulations and supports its only accessible floor.

From a set of mixed structural systems, the large thick volume of the highest point of the building hides the set of beams that hold the slab in place using structural steel ties, keeping it fixed to the rigid central core, helping to control vertical and horizontal forces. The large number of tie rods is a result of the structural calculation and also adds to the user experience of walking through it.

PT | Robusta, brutalista, sólida, maciça, imponente. A estrutura da Hawk se ergue a partir de um núcleo rígido central que comporta as circulações verticais do observatório e apoia o único piso acessível dele.

A partir de um conjunto de sistemas estruturais mistos, o grande volume espesso do ponto mais alto da construção oculta o conjunto de vigas que seguram a laje com a utilização de tirantes de aço estrutural, mantendo-a fixada no núcleo rígido central, ajudando a controlar as forças verticais e horizontais. A grande quantidade de tirantes é resultado do cálculo estrutural e também se agrega à experiência do usuário de caminhar através dela.
